Through the generosity of our donors and key partners, we invest in world-class research, innovative clinical care and deliver patient and entertainment services for sick kids and their families in a healing environment. 

A brand-new opportunity has arisen to join our passionate and fun Patient Experience team as the Patient Experience Support Officer. This role supports the delivery of programs and services to improve the hospital experience for patients and families.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Entertainment Experience Manager, you will be assisting with the planning and delivery of quality events, entertainment services and patient experience initiatives designed to support patients, families, and staff at the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

It will be a busy role that will focus on:

  • Support with event planning, service delivery and team administrative tasks.
  • Assisting with the day to day delivery of entertainment services, including daily supervision of the Kidzone playroom.
  • Supporting stakeholder management by way of email inbox management and relevant communication journeys.
  • Facilitating data entry and regular audits of entertainment interactions, stock and resources.

Who are you?

To be successful in this role, experience in coordinating activities and programs preferably for children and young people is preferable. Experience in customer service or service delivery-based business is a must. Additionally, you will have:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Business Management OR minimum 2yrs experience in similar discipline
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Expertise in event support and/or project management skills
  • Strong computer and business skills including understanding budget and data management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with a range of stakeholders
